A Fitness App Built Around Daily Habits

Most fitness apps try to do everything, and users abandon them within weeks. For this concept we focused on the three things people actually do: start a workout, log it and check their progress. Each of those actions is reachable in one tap from the home screen. Everything else, from plans to social features, sits one level down so it never gets in the way.

The interface uses a dark theme with a single accent color so data is easy to read in a gym. A shared design system keeps the iOS and Android versions consistent while respecting each platform’s conventions.

From Research To
Prototype.

01

User research

We identified who the app is for, what they want from a workout tracker and why they give up on others.

02

Experience mapping

User flows were designed so the most frequent actions take the fewest taps.

03

Interface design

Screens, components and states were designed as a reusable system for both platforms.

04

Prototype testing

A clickable prototype was built to test the main flows before development.

The Outcome

The concept delivers a focused, fast app experience with a clear home screen, simple logging and progress views that give users a reason to come back. The design system and prototype are ready to hand to development.

This is a concept project created to show our app design process. It was not produced for a paying client.
